Install MongoDB Mac 10.12 Sierra - Featured

  1. Download Latest MongoDB Release:

    Get Latest MogoDB .tgz

  2. Double-Click on Archive to Extract
  3. Open a Terminal Window
  4. Relocate MongoDB 
    sudo su
    mv </path/2>/mongodb* /usr/local/mongodb
    mkdir /data/db
  5. Add MongoDB Binaries to User PATH 
    su <myuser>
    nano $HOME/.bashrc

    Inserts: 

    export PATH=/usr/local/mongodb/bin:$PATH
